Recruitment
The new member pursuit is a program designed to help incorporate our new members into Delta Gamma. It consists of several meetings and sisterhood activities that show the new members what the bonds and friendships created through Delta Gamma are about. The first six weeks of the program consist of weekly new member meetings where each girl is required to learn the history, facts, values and practices of Delta Gamma. At the end of this period the new girls will be tested on their understanding of the sorority and initiated into the chapter to become an active member. Delta Gamma strives to make the new member period a very positive and uplifting experience to help transition the new members into becoming a part of a wonderful sisterhood where you will belong forever.
After the six week period of working with older members who teach them about Delta Gamma, they will continue to meet as a pledge class as well as with other pledge classes to ensure the sense of belonging in this sorority. Activities include meeting for dinner at Double Play for “Wing Night”, movie nights in the chapter room, attending other greek events together for other greek’s philanthropy, eating together in the cafe, as well as the planned social events. It is at these activities that the girls have the chance to bond in an informal setting. Delta Gamma is a place where the friends you make and the experiences you have will last a lifetime. Throughout your journey in Delta Gamma you will grow as an individual as well as in the bonds of sisterhood.
